Part 2 continued ...

Day 3 continued after our enjoyable time with Edgar.  We walked back to our hotel .. I have to admit I loved walking in Paris ... even when we got lost *smile*

We got ready for a night on the town ... first up was dinner at the Eiffel Tower.  While we were waiting to be taken into the restaurant, this was the view through a plexiglass walkway.  It wasn't the whole walkway, just a a few windows along the edge .. pretty cool ...

 Dinner started with a yummy red wine.  Never did look at the name or kind of wine it was lol

 

Dinner was soooo good.  Forgot to take a picture of the appetizer which was a strip of raw salmon and a salmon mousse ... layered a bit like a slice of pie.  It was surprisingly good.

The main course was chicken and some amazing potatoes and veggies ...

 and who wouldn't love dessert ... chocolate chocolate and chocolate ...

 We were seated with two lovely young women at dinner ... both were traveling by themselves.  One from Australia and one from Japan.  We really enjoyed having dinner with both of them, although the young woman from Japan didn't speak much English ... They were both about 30 ... I really don't think I could have traveled to a foreign city by myself at 30!

The 2nd part of our night on the town was a night time cruise on the River Seine ... it was a beautiful night for a cruise, although we did wish the boat was a bit more open ... I have to admit that Lisa's date on the boat cruise, moi, did nod off a time or two.  My excuse ... we had just eaten a great meal and drank some wine ... the cruise was so nice and long and well, it just put me to sleep a time or two lol

Paris really is lovely all lit up.  This is the only good picture I got from the boat ... magical ...

 

Part 3 of our night out on the town was a show at the Moulin Rouge, a cabaret that opened in 1889!  They put on a great show, including a can-can number that they are famous for.

It was a lovely yet long night ... these two old ladies had to wake up the front desk of our hotel at 2:30 am to let us in .. the young man who let us in looked like we had woken him up ... bet he was wondering why two old ladies were getting home so late lol
