You know what else makes up for a bad week at work? Getting a box in the mail from my dear friend Karen. For my birthday Karen had offered to finish a couple of piece for me. The first piece she finished was this sweet bunny that was stitched for me by Beth in a Fair and Square Round last year. I love how Karen finished the bunny ... the trim is a real hoot! ...
Karen finished BC's Good Morning into a flat fold ... I stitched this a couple of years ago and I'm thrilled to finally have it sitting in my kitchen ...
Tucked inside with the finishes was this lovely gift ... Karen stitched for me a scissor keeper and scissor fob, and included the stork scissors too! I just love it! This is my first scissor keeper ... thank you Karen for my great birthday presents!
Time to update you with the progress my wips that I have in rotation right now ... here's L*K's Christmas double flipits ... such a fun stitch ...
I'm getting really close to having OZ finished. I will be very sorry to see this finished ... but also really happy to have it finished cause then I can get it framed and hanging on the wall to enjoy everyday ...
and here's Autumn Song that I'm doing as a SAL with Natasha ... I made good progress after having the frog visit ... I can see the end in site ...
I hope you find your Joy in your stitches ...
I'm grateful for stitching friends ...
So no wip stitching this week. I have a couple of exchanges with deadlines coming fast and furious so I'll be spending the week working on those ... and using these pretties, yes I too got sucked into getting these lovely lovely scissors for Yuko and I'm soooo glad I did! omgosh they are great ... they aren't only pretty but they feel great in your hands and cut real good too!
Thank you all for your fun comments. I really enjoy them!
I'm grateful for stitching friends ...

Was it just me or did last week drag on FOREVER?! Your WiPs look fantastic Michele. And those finishes - Karen is a genius! She did such a beautiful job on those pieces.
Your stitching "finishes" of Karen's finishing beautifully! Beautiful work.
Beautiful work on your wip's. Your weekend sounds like it was just what you needed after a crappy week :-)
Lovely finishes and the gift is adorable :-) Hope this week is better :-)
The finishes are lovely and I just adore the Good Morning! All your stitching is great and coming right along! I may have to get some of Yuko's scissors.
You have some very nice WIPs on the go. And a great progress to show on them. Karen's finishing work is really adorabel. So nice.
I also *love* how Vonna finished some of your pieces that you showed in your last post.
Beautiful finishes from Karen!
I love your WIPs, and look forward to more progress, especially OZ since I have loved that movie forever!
Love your finishes and the way that Karen finished them off is great. Love the edging on the bunny ornament.
Love those scissors too! I just had to order some from Yuko. At the price, they were a steal and they look so pretty.
And your WIPs are looking great too. I wish I could get myself to rotate. I pull a bunch of projects out and pull the threads and then I just stay on one.
Look at all the pretties :) I love what Karen did with all your pretties ;o)
And your WIPS going great! Yuko's scissors are certainly the hit of blogland aren't they?! :)
Sorry you had a horrible week. I am glad you had a wonderful weekend
What terrific finishing was done! Love the fringe on the bunny.
Your AS is looking good girl. I have not been stitching as much as I'd like. Hopefully today. I had a drawing for the AS chart I am giving it away after I am done. So that is incentive to stitch it faster :) Hopefully you have a better week this week
What great finishes! And how nice that she included a little surprise that cheered you up!
Love those scissors - I may just have to break down soon and get some for myself!
sounds like you had a great weekend. Love the finishing that Karen does.
Ummm, wow!! Your WIPs look great, and Karen did a fantastic job on making your stitching shine. You make a great team. ;)
What pretty finishes! Lucky girl with a friend like Karen.
Speedy stitching!
What's the name of the Oz pattern? I'd love to get it if possible! I'm a big Oz fan, Wicked, whatever! Love it, love it, loveeeee itttttt!
Thanks,
Daisygirl
Everything looks wonderful! I know what you mean about you're going to miss Oz when it's done - I still do. I have to get on the stick and get it framed in time for my mom's birthday. Glad you had such a nice weeken.
Wow those finishes are fantastic and I love the scissor keep Karen made you.
Your WIPs are coming along really well.

Oh, I fell for those scissors too but I restrained myself LOL and only bought one pair.
