I had a couple of great mail days this week. I received my exchange piece from the Lizzie Kate Exchange Blog. Angela sent this to me because the stitcher that had my name suddenly passed away. Mary Jo was the stitcher the passed away. I'm sorry I didn't get to know Mary Jo, from all the things I've read she was a nice warm person. It was very nice of Angela to send me this pinkeep, although when I heard about Mary Jo's passing and that she had my name, of course I never expected anything. Love the blue fabric she stitch this design on and her finishing is wonderful ...
and here's the back :)
I participated in an exchange on the Pals BB. We were to stitch a Christmas design, but no finishing. Yvonne (can't find her blog) had my name and stitched this cute PS design for me. It's from the 2007 JSC ornament issue ... I just love it! And can't wait to have it hanging on my tree this December ...
Over the weekend I stitched up my square for the Pals exchange, I'll post a picture of it after it arrives at it's new home. Since I was in the Christmas stitching mood I decided to do one for myself too ... this design is from Lizzie Kate's Three Blox ... I still need to add the buttons ... I think it turned out pretty darn cute. I decided to stitch these all as separate ornaments, two more to go, but they stitch up really really fast ...
and just to enable you a little more ... here's a picture of the scissors I was talking about in my last post ... a must for all of us Halloween lovers *grin*
I'm a little out of sync with my rotation. On Tuesday I stitched on AS and late in the evening realized I had miscounted and spent the rest of the evening frogging. So last night, instead of stitching on OZ, I decided to give another evening to AS ... and I'm so glad I did ... I made good progress and will post some pictures over the weekend.
Thanks for stopping by and leaving a comment ... I really enjoy reading them *smile* Hope your week is going well!
I hope you find your Joy in your stitches ...
I'm grateful for Thursdays ...

Nashville Market!!!!
How excited is everyone about all the new designs that will be coming out of Nashville soon ... very soon!! I'm excited!! I've seen some lovely designs so far ... look here ...
I love the new BBD designs and I can't wait to see the Lizzie Kate scissor fob with new scissors from Paula of Kelmscott. And how about those new scissors that look like spider webs ... they look kinda uncomfortable to use, but would look great with a Halloween scissor fob hanging from them.
I stumbled on a new design on Silver Needle's website the other day ... have you seen anything by Tralala? I feel in love instantly ... especially with the reindeer! I know, you're surprised by that, aren't ya! lol But look, how cute is he ...
and I'm in love with these chicks! Have to stitch them close to Easter ...
Are you getting lots of stitching accomplished while watching the Olympics? I'm really enjoying them! The American kids have been awe inspiring and I can't wait for this weekend to see Apollo on the ice again ... short track is crazy! But so much fun to watch.Thank you all for your lovely comments on my rotation wips ... they are coming along pretty well again this week and I'll be posting progress pictures over the weekend. I am enjoying my rotation and also the flexibility of it too ... fun fun fun and isn't that what it's all about :)
As I am finishing this post the USA just won the men's Gold! Congratulations Evan Lysacek!!!!
I hope you find your Joy in your stitches ...
I'm grateful for sunny days in February ...

Happy Valentine's Day
Another Sunday night ... where in the world do the weekends go?! Seems like Friday night wasn't that long ago! lol .. We spent Friday evening watching the Vancouver Opening Ceremonies. I really enjoyed them. Vancouver is our neighbor and a lovely lovely city to visit. I also enjoyed all the pictures and stories of Canada and their people that ran the hour before. I had no idea that Canada helped so quickly during 911 to land over 200 American airliners ... and what about the snowboarder skiing to into the stadium ... wonder how many times they had to shoot that run ... sure was awesome!
Saturday I went to lunch with Lisa and Yvonne. I gave them their Valentine pillow/ornaments that I finished up a couple of weeks ago ... they really love them. It was funny, I thought I was the only one bringing a Valentine gift, but they both brought gifts too ... we had a good laugh over that, wonderful pomegranate margaritas, yummy lunch and planned our trip to the beach in May. On my way home I dropped by and saw my dad for a couple of hours ... then it was home to watch the first night of Olympics ... WTG Apollo and JR, and how about those mogul runs! omg the girls rocked.
Sunday was spent watching the Daytona 500 and stitching. Nice day that started our with my honey going and getting lattes for us ... sometimes it's nice to not leave the house all day :)
I did get some stitching done last week. I've started back on a rotation and feel like I really got something accomplished. Of course rotations must be flexible, right? Monday instead of working on Peppermint Twist, I decided to finish up Cranberry Deer Pinkeepy by Beehive Needleworks ... this was one of my birthday stash purchases and I loved stitching it!
Tuesday's rotation piece is Autumn Song by Blackbird Designs. Natasha and I are doing an SAL, we didn't stitch on AS over the holidays and I'm really glad to be back to it ... I just love the colors ... this is where I left AS back in November ...

Sunday Catchup ...
Monica (my daughter in law) turned 27 on Thursday. We had a wonderful dinner at The Spaghetti Factory ... their meatballs are to die for! lol ... then it was back to our house for presents and cake ... it was a really nice evening ... here's a picture of my dad with Chris and Monica ...
and Maddy thinking that the leftover cake was all for her ...
I've been stitching this week but have no pictures to share yet ... don't you hate when you camera battery dies :( But I do hae a couple of things to share ... My Lizzie*Kate exchange arrived at it's new owner's house, Wendy Jo ... When I was reading her blog and saw that she decorated her house in Americana theme I decided to stitch Liberty, one of my favorite L*K freebies. I stitched it on some coffee dyed fabric using the suggested colors. I had a blast finishing this one, I really am having fun with beads ... I'll definately be stitching this one again for me ...
