Happy First Day of Spring! We had all the crazy weather that comes with spring .. rain, sun, sleet, snow, more rain and it was about 40 degrees all day .. gotta love Spring!
At lunch today I finished a terrific book .. I would highly recommend it to everyone that loves to read .. and if you quilt, all the better .. you'll understand more than I did! lol .. the book is called The Quilter's Apprentice by Jennifer Chiaverini .. it starts a bit slow, but half way through I was definately hooked .. and by the end of the book, yep, I was crying .. lol .. I'm really a whimp! Anyway, I understand there are a series of these books .. my friend at work is reading them and is bring in book 2 to me tomorrow .. Let me know if you've read the book(s) .. I'd be interested to hear what other women think about it.
I finished Lizzie*Kate's Is It Coffee Yet? This was such a quick stitch .. I splurged and bought the pillow for it .. I just love it!
but I think I'm a little coffee'd out lol .. so I started In Every Nest by Raise the Roof .. quite a fun Easter stitch .. and it's sooo my family! lol
Thank you all for the lovely comments .. I really enjoy reading what you write .. and it's fun seeing new people leaving comments too .. waving HI :)
Lizzie .. you asked for the conversion that I did for Spot of Coffee .. I post the conversion over the weekend for you and anyone else that wants it .. also nice to my records!
Sally .. Spot of Coffee is also chart to say "Teatime by the candle's light ....." not trying to enable you or anything *smile*

Im so jealous of your lovely spring daffodils. I thought spring had arrived here in Scotland and then at the weekend it snowed and this week has been freezing! Anyway...check out this blog http://judiromi.blogspot.com/
She has just bought all the books you are talking about and has posted a picture.
Oh, that is a lovely picture! Is it from around your home?! Man...our flowers are no where near flowering yet! Soon, I'm hoping!
I think Karen V. is reading those books too...you need to go see her blog it's on my sidebar at my blog it's called My Favorite Things...
I love the finish on your coffee project! Good Job!
OH the spring looks lovely. I also love the Coffee Time! Too cute. I wish I could buy all of Lizzie Kate's charts - I just love them!
Wow, Michele, you are such a naughty little enabler! Lol!
I love your daffodils,. I have some miniature ones in a pot on my patio and they are so pretty.
We have had snow this week. We've had several heavy flurries but it hasn't settled much. Last night we had weather warnings for snow and ice, plus flood warnings where I live! Thankfully we are high up but the promenade road was closed this morning and the council were cleaning up the sand and debris that the sea had brought over with it.
beautiful floral photo. Very nice Lizzie Kate finish!
I love the Chiaverini books - they are great. I think I've read two or three of them , and have at least one more. Glad you enjoyed it.
My dafodills are almost here. Happy first day of spring here on the 21st.
Oh, I love your L*K *Is It Coffee Yet* I can't wait to stitch those! And I love the tuck! Beautiful stitching, Michele!
I haven't heard of those books but you have me intrigued now... ;-)
I love *In Every Nest*... can't wait to see your WIP...
