My trip to Myrtle Beach, SC started early Saturday morning .. my flights were very uneventful, which is a good thing when you are travelling, don't you think? lol .. The retreat I was attending didn't start until Thursday .. a lot of the girls were arriving on Tuesday .. so I had a couple of days just to myself .. and it was heaven! I missed the family a lot, but I have to admit it was totally dedicant to wake up in the morning, walk outside my room, and look at this view ... I just love these little Palmetto trees .. they are all around Myrtle Beach ..
and my room .. cute and comfortable ...
The 2-1/2 days I had to myself were very very nice .. walking on the beach, stitching, napping, having the tv remote to myself (lol) it was just what I needed and got me ready for when the girls all arrived ... more to come tomorrow ...
I'm grateful for the beach ...

Im sitting here on this dull and dreary morning in Scotland longing for that beach!!
Oh boy that looks so fun and inviting! And SUNNY!!
Oh wow that a beautiful view and your room is gorgeous!
Beatiful view and your room looks nice :) And I always feel like I need a vacation to rest up after vacation LOL
I'm glad your home! And I'm glad to see you had a super great time! I am jealous...:)
That reminds me of the time I went to Myrtle Beach (April 2006) because my mom lives in Summerville, SC and she drove us up there to stay for a few days (a 2 hour trip, a vacation within a vacation). We had a cute little room like that too, the front faced the busy street with all of the shops and tourists and the back sliding glass door faced the beach, along the row of all the other tourist motels. We had a good time but nothing like going to a stitching retreat, although I did stitch while I was there.
It sounds like you had a good time. Did you stitch alot? The relaxation part sounds really nice.
Can't wait to see and hear more about your trip! I went the first two years and haven't made it back since. The beach sure does look good right now.
